Time to get back on track......

Well, in the past few weeks I have prayed for my dads surgery to go
well and for the test results to come back and show no more cancer
and God answered my prayers. My dad is cancer free!!!!!

The first week of May I went to spend 6 days with my niece and nephew while my sister and brother in law went to Nashville for a wedding of a very close friend of theirs. It was a great reminder of why me and Glenn decided not to have any kids of out own. We just adopted dogs and cats. LOL
I did have a wonderful time and really enjoyed my time with them and I was glad to be there at my nephews Mother's Day Tea and was able to record for my sister what she had missed. (A link to each video is below) He made me cry. When he grows u he is going to make some lucky woman very happy!

I also went and got stuff for the kids to make their mom something for Mother's Day. That was a lot of fun to do wit them and they really did an awesome job on their project. I was very impressed with the final product.

My son and daughter in law also sent me and my mother some very nice gifts for Mother's Day.

The etched wine glasses were amazing but the colored picture from my granddaughter was my favorite. I have already framed and hung it.

The kids will be coming for a visit in July so I am really excited about that but I will be very busy getting ready for them.

I have been reading some books by The Robertson's of Duck Dynasty. I must say I am loving them. You should read them. I have ordered them all from
http://www.christianbook.com/ Their prices are great!

Well, time to get back to life. Thanks for reading.

Have a great day and God Bless!!

Life is Good!

This past week has been a whole lot of fun!
My dad is recovering from his surgery and doing well.
Glenn was out of town all week for work. I did not like that much because you know when you are all alone in a house with 4 dogs you start to hear things and I swear there is someone living in out attic and they listen to music or watch TV all night....LOL!! I was sure glad when he got home yesterday to say the least.

I had a lot of plans to get things done around the house while he was gone last week, things didn't work out quite that way. I am wanting to create a room for my computer/craft room but I need a desk and finding one I want has been a bit of a challenge and I do not know why! I either find one I like but it's way more than I want to spend or I just don't lie what I find...... Oh well. It will all get done eventually.

I have been reading a really great book, The Woman of Duck Commander. I love their messages and their stories. Such inspiration, they make you want to live a better life. I would love to meet them some day.

Mother's Day is coming up and I have no clue what we will do. I want to take my mom out to dinner or lunch, this is the first Mother's Day we have had together in over 22 years. Anyone have some good ideas for things to do?

Have to get all the hubbies laundry caught up, he only has a weeks worth of uniforms, and a ton of other things around here to do. Until next time, have a wonderful weekend and God Bless.

I have been rather busy the past few days. Worked in a little craft project to keep my darn bathroom door from closing every time you go in there. Older houses are really good at that. But it turned out real cute, I will post a picture soon.

I have also been helping prepare for my dad's surgery. He went in this morning and everything is done and fine now. Thank the Lord!

Because my parents care for my grandfather I am the one who cares for him in times like these. I cherish these times because I know there are not many of them left. Glenn will be here after work for the evening and for dinner, pork chops are in the crock pot as I type, and to spend some time with Papaw. Papaw loves to visit with Glenn and Glenn loves to listen to his stories.

Mother's Day is right around the corner so I am trying to plan something, mostly in my head, but still......haha. This will be the first Mother's Day I have spent with my mom in over 20 years so it will be really nice.

Next month I will be going to my sisters to watch her kids while they go to a wedding, I am so excited to spend time with my niece and nephew...they are so fun.

That's all for now. Papaw will want his snack soon.

God Bless.

Some of the Loves in my Life!

So much love.

Her face says it all!

She is my life!

I love my K-Bug!

These are people who are a very big part of my life. My son Joshua, his wife Sam and my granddaughter Kaylee. They will never know how hard it was to make the decision to move far away from them.

Sam and Josh were married just a month before we moved. I has been hard to not be right down the street from them any more. To not see Kaylee all the time. To not have them just drop by to see what we are up to. To not take Kaylee shopping for the life altering new Shopkins pack.

Though my life was complete the day my son was born the added family is a blessing! Though there are members of this family who have drifted away I know God will see to it that they find their way back to us!

Wishing you a wonderful Saturday.
God Bless
